Jessica

Jessica Shaver (she/her) has been passionate about clothes and textiles since she was old enough to wobble around in her grandmother's high heels and rummage through her immaculate and stylish closet. After receiving her BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute she worked for a decade as an apparel and textile designer in NYC for major US retail brands. It was during this time that the excessive waste, and environmental and social harms of the fashion industry were revealed to her. Wanting to have a positive impact on the fashion industry, she followed the guiding question "what is sustainable fashion?" to Colorado State University and received a M.S. in Apparel and Merchandising. Although the idea for Vulture Collective began forming in Jessica's mind and notebooks in 2015, it took life (see also, world alter pandemic) getting in the way, and reconnecting with high school friend Jackie to make her vision a reality.
When not thinking about how to transform the fashion industry, Jessica is active in the Longmont community, serving as a Board Member for Sustainable Resilient Longmont, and volunteering with OUR Center and the City of Longmont's Equitable Climate Action Team. Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors (whether it be a hiking trail or beer garden) with her family and friends.

Jackie

Jackie Eubank (she/her) is a pandemic induced Stay at Home Mom. Although the driving force behind leaving traditional work was a childcare need, she has seen it as an opportunity to shift her career focus. After spending a decade in International Logistics and several years in customer service and administrative support, Jackie utilized her newfound freedom to do community organizing in the Greeley, Johnstown, and Milliken areas.
In middle school, Jackie was voted "most interesting fashion sense" after repurposing a box of clothing her aunt wore two decades prior. She has carried that sense of regeneration and creativity with clothing throughout her life. She is excited to combine her passions for activism, the environment, and fashion through work with Vulture Collective.
In addition to being a mom and Vulture Collective Co-Founder, Jackie plays banjo, and enjoys camping and hiking with her family and her favorite season is Halloween (yes, it's a season).
